| Roommate Situation: Hey. I have a one bedroom in a converted 2 bedroom apartment available August 1. It is the converted room in the apartment, but is just as large as the master bedroom (everyone who hangs out in our apartment always thinks that is the master bedroom). It is approximately 170 square feet. My current roommate has (which he will move out with him) a queen bed, TV stand with a 50 inch flat screen TV, sofa, small chair, and a dresser set, with plenty of room to walk around in the apartment. There is no living room. Beautiful view of south Manhattan. There a decent sized kitchen and area for a couple bar stools. You would be sharing the bathroom with me. A washer and dryer are in the apartment, something you do not see in many apartments.
The building: this building is located in North Chelsea/South Midtown area. The building is less than 3 years old. When I moved in 2 years ago they finished carpeting my floor the end of the week when I moved in. The Manhattan Mall is its back door. Approximately 2 - 5 minute walk to Penn Station. Really close to FIT. Very close to many other schools andractions.
Utiliities that you pay for: internet (your half would be about 20/month) and electricity (your half runs around $50-75/month.
About me: I am a straight 27 y/o profressional male who works in the city. I love to spend my free time travelling, going to the gym, and clubbing (have access to some really nice clubs in the city). I usually do not cook and like to eat out. I do not smoke, drink, or do drugs, but do not mind a roommate who likes to drink socially.

Our apartment is 1000 square feet with 16 foot ceilings and a very spacious living room. The architecture of our apartment is very unique and aesthetically pleasing. Our bedrooms are located up a set of stairs while the available bedroom is on the bottom floor. We have one and a half baths and a large kitchen area. The living room and bedrooms feature hardwood flooring while the bathroom and kitchen have marble flooring. The living room has two 13 foot windows which we always receive compliments on. This apartment is really a hidden gem and we are confident that you will fall in love with it just as we did. Utilities (electric and cable) usually come out to about 70 dollars but can reach 120 dollars during the very hot summer months due to the increased use of the air-conditioner.
Your room would come with a lock and key for your door and you would also have your own medicine cabinet in one of our two bathrooms. We are looking for a laid back, kind, fun person to fill our extra room. We are very good friends and hope that we can have a good relationship with our third roommate also. We like to entertain and have a good time. We occasionally have large parties which you would be welcome to invite your friends to and we also like to hang out with friends and smoke a little reefer.
