I'm a lesbian, just to get that out there. Technically I'm bi, but I'm in a long term relationship with a young woman, so I'm a lesbian in practice. I'm also trans, male-to-female, also to get that out there. A living environment where those things aren't factors is a must. I wont apologize for being who I am, but I wont let my personal business intrude on your space. A place on or within walking distance of the bus line is also highly desireable. I dont make a whole lot, so I prefer to avoid paying for gas, car repairs, and car insurance. Some place where I'd have access to an internet connection would be awesome. | Roommate Situation: I'm 20 years old. I started working as both a graveyard waitress and a bouncer at a punk club when I was 18. I've also worked in a vegan cafe and as a bookshop clerk. The past few years I have been helping my family and working on getting my life together. For the past year, I've been djing for a pirate radio station called Radio CPR. I do a show called Discordant Lullabies: Bedtime Stories for Insomniacs Young and Old, I pair pieces of children's literature with pieces of classic/bedtimeanytime ... basically i love sharing literature and the comforting intonations of the human voice.
I love to create. I love to be around and living with people who loved to create.
I drink far too much tea, I love writing letters, creating mail art, and sending out care packages. I'm a compulsive knitter. I've been known to roll tea into my cigarettes, I love warm summer rains, Gertrude Stein, random acts of dissonance (like leaving quotes and mixtapes around the city for others to find), alternative folk music and warbly voices, I have an odd penchant for binding books, I love music--the experience of it, the creation, curling up with it, wandering aboot--exploring with it, going crazy and free with it, most forms, most media--screw genre. I take hardcore margin notes in most everything I read--even fluff books. I have a bit of a motherly nature, but give others plenty of space when they'd like it. When I was a little tyke I was convinced that if I lay on my back and moved my feet I could walk on the ceiling... then again I used to wear koala ears everywhere I went too.
I love whimsy, creation, passion, and the open-source diy deconstruction. I hope you all find whomever you're looking for!
